Bc. Tereza Šantorová
Physiotherapist
Physiotherapist with a focus on working with children, young athletes and healthy movement.
Bc. Tereza Šantorová works at Ponseti Clinic as a physiotherapist. She graduated from the Bachelor of Physiotherapy study program at the University of Health Sciences in Prague. Already during her studies, she gained practical experience in hospital and outpatient settings and gradually focused on working with children and athletes.
She has been professionally associated with the Ponseti Clinic since the days of her university studies, when she completed a professional internship there and had the opportunity to gain long-term experience directly in the clinic environment. She completed a significant part of her professional training alongside the head of the physiotherapy clinic Ponseti Clinic Bc. Pavlíny Malá, under whose expert guidance she further developed her practical skills and experience in patient care.
During her studies, she also gained experience at ALAFIA-RHB, a subsidiary of Ponseti Clinic, where she completed professional practice under the direct supervision of the head of the facility, Mgr. Peter Routner. Here she also had the opportunity to work with patients in a real outpatient setting and further develop her professional and practical skills.
We thus had the opportunity to monitor her professional development over the long term and across both of our healthcare facilities. During professional practices, she repeatedly proved herself with her approach to patients, reliability, practical skills and interest in further professional development. After successfully completing her university studies, she therefore naturally continued her previous cooperation and became a member of the Ponseti Clinic physiotherapy team.
She has been working with children and adolescent clients for a long time. She gained experience, among other things, while working with football youth, where she worked as a medic and masseur, in leading sports and exercise activities for children, as well as in compensatory exercises aimed at preventing and promoting healthy movement.
She further expands her professional knowledge through further education. She completed courses and training focused on, for example, myofascial trigger points and work with reflex changes, kinesiotaping and lymphotaping, rolling and the SM system. She also got acquainted with the use of sonography of the musculoskeletal system.
In her work, she emphasizes an individual approach, active cooperation with the patient and the search for such therapeutic procedures that correspond to her age, current difficulties and movement possibilities. She is especially close to work with children and young athletes, as well as the field of prevention and healthy exercise.
At the Ponseti Clinic, she is part of a multidisciplinary team, where she combines her experience in physiotherapy with cooperation with other medical specialties and thus participates in comprehensive and follow-up patient care.
