Mgr. Lenka Marčíková completed her master's degree in speech therapy at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Charles University in Prague in 1993. She subsequently completed specialized training in the field of clinical speech therapy with an attestation exam in 1997. She has been in practice since 1993, working for three years at the Children's Psychiatric Hospital in Dolní Počernice alongside the pioneer of Czech speech therapy PhDr. Zdenek Žlaba. Since 1996, she has been working at the Paprsek Children's Center, where, in addition to her clinical and speech therapy practice, she runs the Day Clinic for children and young adults with mostly severe combined disabilities. Since the same year, she has been working in the management of the Logopedic Society of Miloš Sovák. She is the author of a number of didactic aids for the therapy of impaired communication skills. In her work, she places great emphasis on an individual, friendly and accommodating approach to children and their families. Her priority is a playful and functional form of therapy that supports motivation and cooperation, especially with children.
