We are now offering a discounted package that includes up to six casts and a possible surgical procedure (tenotomy). This package is an affordable and comprehensive solution with a predetermined price. If necessary, it is possible to split the payment into two parts.
Possibility of using superior materials
After consultation with the doctor, it is possible to use superior materials, which in certain cases increase the comfort and efficiency of the treatment. These materials are generally used in the treatment of PEC, in various forms. At Ponseti Clinic, we offer the possibility of using their above-standard variants.
1. Cotton wool under plaster
- 100% cotton – natural, hypoallergenic material

2. Plastic plaster fixation
- Surface protective layer after modeling ordinary plaster
- Prevention of limb damage. It minimizes cases of plaster breakage/spill-out, whereby the plaster loses its fixation and repositioning ability and there is a risk of worsening deformity and skin damage.
- In patients with recurrence, it will ensure the strength of the cast even with a significantly higher load. Thanks to it, children can move more carefree in the space, as the restrictions resulting from plastering are minimized. If the child can walk with the fixation, it stretches the Achilles tendon and activates the lower leg muscles, which ultimately means less atrophy after casting.

We know that parents want the best for their children, which we value very much. However, it should be noted that the use of superior materials is not always a necessary guarantee of a better result. Therefore, we recommend that you consult our doctors, who will provide you with accurate and reliable information. At the same time, we recommend that you contact your health insurance company and check whether it can offer you a contribution based on the support programs of its clients. VZP clients can currently apply for a contribution within the application of plastic fixations, up to CZK 1,500.
