A new member of the Ponseti Clinic team

We would like to inform you with pleasure that during the month of September, the head of the Orthopaedic Clinic of FN Bulovka, MUDr., became part of the medical team of Ponseti Clinic. Radovan Kubeš Ph.D.
Prim. MD Radovan Kubeš Ph.D. he has been a part of the Bulovka General Hospital since 1987, while he has held the position of head of the Orthopaedic Clinic of the FNB, the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the UK and the IPVZ since 2018. During his work, he mainly participated in oncological surgery, but also dealt with the issue of joint replacements and hand surgery. Subsequently, he was appointed the head doctor of the alloplastic department - a specialized center for the operation of hemophiliacs. As part of his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, he defended his dissertation in 2010 on the topic "Mini-invasive approaches to TEP of the hip joint" and received the Ph.D. Among other things, Radovan Kubeš is engaged in scientific and educational practice.
He has been an assistant professor at the Department of Orthopaedics at the IPVZ for many years and also regularly lectures to doctors at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, UK. Since 2015, he has been a supervisor of doctoral studies. He participated in the IPVZ research projects "Operative treatment in the area of the hip joint in the case of injuries, congenital defects, osteopathies and arthropathies. Spine fractures in the field of osteopathy" and "Determining the basic conditions for research and development of artificial replacements of knee and hip joints in oncological disease of bone tissue in the area of the joint".
Prim. MD Kubeš is an external employee of the Ponseti Clinic, and his main role in patient care consists in providing Second Opinion examinations. The examination is intended for patients with serious health problems or diseases that threaten surgery or long-term treatment, or in cases where the current treatment of long-term health problems does not lead to recovery.
